Fall Styling with Leather
Fall has always been my favorite time of year to shop, dress and style homes. Boots, coats, layering color and texture and of course, leather. Leather has evolved over the years and this year is bringing me back to early 1990’s vibes. Bright bold colors, textures, shiny, faux fur accents and lots of color blocking. Take a black leather jacket and layer it over a crisp white leather skirt or an apricot leather vest with rich chocolate brown leather pants.
As I sat down to write this post, I was thinking of how I can bring some leather into my home and my everyday styling. I recently bought a midi leather skirt and I plan to pair it with a cool graphic tee and a pair of sneakers. Leather doesn’t have to be dressy it can add that extra bit of dimension to any occasion. As we see with fashion trends they show up in our homes as well. Leather wrapped bar accessories, a leather side table or leather accents on a barrel chair. The texture of leather can be that pop that transforms a room from basic to wow!
The latest leather trends are all about experimenting with new textures and pushing the boundaries on layering colors and materials. The runway trends influence all kinds of styling decisions we make; from getting dressed every morning to how we style our home. Whether you’re looking for a traditional look of adding a camel or navy leather pouf to a modern and sleek leather wrapped barrel chair, there is something for everyone.
